Digipak

Here is our finished digipak. We used the same heart texture as the advert at a low opacity and also continued the colour scheme of pink, including the use of flowers. This was done to create synergy between our products.

Magazine Advertisement

Above is my advertisement for my artist designed to go into a magazine. I read through many music magazines such as Kerrang and Q to see examples of this being done. I decided to use bright colours such as pink and green in order to match those seen in the video and to reflect the cheerful bright type of music in our video.

I created a varied selection of images before choosing the one for the advertisement above. One of which is below. I attempted to make the artist herself transparent in order to have more freedom with the choice of background or texture behind her. I eventually decided that making the transparency look professional was not an easy process with images such as photopgraphs, so I decided not to use this image.

Professional Feedback on our Rough Cut

We spoke with Music Video Director Terry Hall on Skype about the process of making music videos. After letting him watch the rough cut of our music video he was able to give us some constructive feedback and advice to help us through our editing process.

He liked the variety of locations we filmed in as this kept the interest of the viewer. He also liked our shots of the reflection of our singer in the water before cutting back to her walking across a bridge.

We went on to show him one of our stop motion animations which we plan to use in the chorus of the song in the video. He was enthusiastic about this and suggested different ways in which we could incorporate it with the clips of our singer such as layering the shots over one another and inverting the colours. We really liked this idea and plan to try and incorporate it in our finished video. We found his comments extremely helpful and we are now looking forward to the challenge of using the concepts he has suggested to us.
